Food Sovereignty
Food Sovereignty Program
The Food Sovereignty Program’s goal is to provide sustainable, local, and affordable food for tribal members. Its long-term objective is to give members more food options than government-provided commodities, which are often unhealthy and can contain expired items.
The program currently manages a variety of livestock, including sheep, cows, and laying chickens. These animals provide local, high-quality meat and eggs. More recent additions to the program are the greenhouse, which is now growing summer produce, and a beehive.
